Cookie Policy

Version 1.0 · Effective 5 September 2026

The short version

1. Scope

This policy explains the cookies, local browser storage, cached files and similar technologies used by cp3maths.com and its public applications, including TILES, COUNTERS and Is It Prime?. It should be read with the Privacy Policy.

2. What these technologies are

Cookies are small text records stored by a browser when a website is used. Local storage lets an application keep information on the device without sending that information back each time a page loads. A service worker and browser cache can retain application files so a progressive web app loads more quickly and may remain available when the connection is interrupted.

3. First-party functional storage

TILES and COUNTERS use local storage for app acceptance where required, preferences and an optional non-empty board. A remembered board expires 30 days after it was last changed. TILES may also remember local learning progress and update notices. Is It Prime? stores sound and vibration preferences and up to 50 completed attempts. These app records remain on the device and are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.

A TILES legal navigation flow may use a temporary session-storage record so it can restore the board after returning. That record is removed after restoration and is treated as expired after 30 minutes.

4. Cached progressive web app files

TILES, COUNTERS and Is It Prime? register service workers. The browser may cache HTML, styles, scripts, fonts, images, icons and other application files to support loading, installation and offline behaviour. These cached files do not contain a CP3 Maths account or a cloud copy of a board or game history.

5. Hosting and security technologies

The website is delivered using OpenAI’s Sites infrastructure with Cloudflare supporting hosting, connectivity and security. These services may use cookies or similar technologies that are strictly necessary to deliver, secure and protect the service.

Cloudflare currently sets the strictly necessary __cf_bm cookie on cp3maths.com to identify and mitigate automated traffic. Cloudflare states that it expires after 30 minutes of continuous inactivity, is generated separately for each protected site and does not track users from site to site or from session to session. Further information is available in Cloudflare’s cookie information.

6. Optional analytics and advertising

The current release does not use optional analytics, advertising cookies or cross-site behavioural tracking. If a non-essential technology is introduced later, CP3 Maths will update this policy and provide any consent choice required before that technology is used.

7. Your controls

You can clear cookies, local storage and cached files through the privacy or site-data controls in your browser. You can also use private browsing if you do not want the browser to retain app state after that session. Clearing site data may remove app acceptance, preferences, scores, attempt history, learning progress, remembered boards and installed offline files.

Within Is It Prime?, “Reset history and stats” removes completed attempt history and calculated statistics while retaining sound and vibration preferences. Choosing “Start with a clean board” removes the remembered TILES or COUNTERS board arrangement.

8. Changes and contact

This policy may be updated if CP3 Maths changes its applications, hosting or use of browser technologies. The version and effective date above identify the current policy.
