For pupils and young people
What happens when I open the Board?
The website has to receive ordinary technical information so it can appear on your screen and stay secure. This can include the internet address used by your device, the type of browser, the page requested and whether it loaded correctly.
What stays on my device?
Your device remembers that the current EULA was accepted. If your Board contains manipulatives, it can also remember the Board, its view and whether snapping is on. When you return, you can choose to continue that Board or start clean. A remembered Board expires 30 days after it was last changed.
Is It Prime? remembers up to 50 completed attempts and your sound and vibration choices. It uses those attempts on your device to work out personal bests and other statistics. If you choose to leave an unfinished game, that attempt is not kept. This information stays on the device. It is not sent to CP3 Maths or shared with a school.
What does CP3 Maths not do?
The current apps do not create profiles about pupils, make automated decisions about them, use advertising trackers or ask for payment information. CP3 Maths board apps do not send board arrangements to a CP3 Maths account. Is It Prime? does not send scores or attempt history to CP3 Maths.
What should I avoid sharing?
Do not put your full name, school, address, phone number, passwords, photographs or safeguarding information onto a Board that somebody else might see. The Board is for maths, not personal messages.
What happens if I send feedback?
The feedback form does not ask for your name or email address, but ordinary internet connection details may still be handled when it is sent. The screenshot and technical-details options are both off unless you choose them. TILES does not create the screenshot for you. If you include one, take and crop it on your device so it shows only the visible CP3 Maths app, then choose that image from Photos or Files. You can open the selected screenshot larger and check it before sending. The image is not uploaded until you send the form. Feedback is delivered using Resend to the CP3 Maths support inbox hosted through Apple’s iCloud Mail service and is kept only as long as needed, for no more than 12 months. Do not include sensitive information or information about another person.
Can I ask a question about my information?
Yes. Ask a trusted adult to help you email support@cp3maths.com. You can also clear the site data in the browser to remove information stored on that device. In Is It Prime?, “Reset history and stats” removes the completed game history and statistics but keeps sound and vibration choices.
