Resources Licence

Version 1.1 · Effective 26 July 2026

The important point

The licence displayed on each individual TES resource listing is the licence that controls use of that resource. A resource being free to download does not by itself place it in the public domain.

1. Scope

This page explains the licensing position for teaching resources published under the CP3 Maths name, particularly resources made available through TES. It does not replace the licence displayed by TES for an individual resource.

2. Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike resources

Current free CP3 Maths resources identified on their TES listing as Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike (“CC BY-SA”) may be shared and adapted under the version of that licence stated on the listing. If a version is not stated clearly, do not assume a version; check the listing or ask CP3 Maths before relying on a particular version.

CC BY-SA normally requires users who share the resource or an adaptation to:

Creative Commons provides a plain-language summary of CC BY-SA 4.0. That page is helpful guidance, but the specific licence version displayed on the resource listing still controls.

Example attribution: “Adapted from [resource title] by CP3 Maths, available on TES, licensed under the CC BY-SA licence shown on the original listing. Changes were made.”

3. TES Teaching Resource Licence

Some TES resources, including some older free resources, may instead be offered under the TES Teaching Resource Licence. TES states that this is not a Creative Commons licence. Where that licence is shown, its permissions and restrictions apply and the TES listing remains the source of truth.

4. Material not covered by a resource licence

Unless expressly stated otherwise, the following are not licensed under a teaching resource’s Creative Commons licence:

5. Third-party content

A resource may contain fonts, images, extracts or other components used under separate terms, a statutory exception or with permission. Any separate notice supplied with that component continues to apply. A CP3 Maths licence cannot grant rights that CP3 Maths does not own.

6. No endorsement and no warranties

Attribution must not suggest that CP3 Maths or TES endorses the user or an adaptation. Resources are educational materials supplied without a guarantee that they are suitable for every curriculum, learner, device or purpose. Statutory rights that cannot lawfully be excluded remain unaffected.

7. Questions and permissions

For licensing questions or permission outside the licence shown on TES, email support@cp3maths.com and identify the exact resource and its TES link.
